The American Biographical Institute, Inc. (ABI) Board of Research has selected South Florida Attorney, Alice Reiter Feld, CELA PA, as its 2010 WOMAN OF THE YEAR IN LAW. The Institute bases its nominees and winner upon global efforts of research for accomplished individuals.
Publishers of Biographical Reference Works since 1967, ABI recognizes interesting and distinguished persons through correspondence with universities, business, publications, and organizations around the globe. Alice Reiter Feld was selected from the review of the achievements of hundreds of nominees.
A Florida Super Lawyer in the practice area of Elder Law, Alice Reiter Feld has been at the helm of her own practice for over 27 years. She serves the South Florida senior citizen community-at-large, as well as local elder care affiliates. Ms. Reiter Feld is licensed to practice law in both Florida and New York States, as well as before the United States Court of Appeals for Veteran’s Claims; and is a Board Certified Elder Law Specialist by The Florida Bar and The National Elder Law Foundation. She is “AV” rated by Martindale Hubbell.
Alice Reiter Feld has advocated the edification of senior citizens and their family members on elder care options, and the importance and value of engaging an elder law attorney to determine, plan and execute an elder care strategy. Her primary areas of practice under the ‘Elder Law Umbrella’ include long-term care needs planning, asset protection planning, estate planning, probate, Veteran’s Benefits and Medicaid planning and assistance.

Alice is in-demand as a lecturer-at-large throughout Broward County. She’s an official member of Florida Bar’s Speaker Bureau, and has addressed, Estate Planning and Elder Law to, amongst many others, the students of law at NOVA Southeastern University School of Law, SunTrust’s Deans Business Roundtable and elder care professionals at Hospice-by-the-Sea. Ms. Reiter Feld is also a volunteer attorney for Broward Lawyer’s Care; an active member of the Elder Law section of the Florida Bar; and sits on the board of directors of the Alzheimer’s Family Center in Broward County, Florida. Ms. Feld is a member in good standing of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, where she has served on the Steering Committee of the Trust Special Interest Group.
Ms. Reiter Feld has published numerous articles, and lectured extensively to the public, students and elder law attorneys on Elder Law issues including Veteran’s Benefits for disabled seniors. She is a 1980 graduate of the venerable St. John’s University School of Law in Queens, New York, having earned her bachelors degree in political science, graduating with honors, from Brooklyn College, also in New York.
Alice Reiter Feld cares about her community. She served six years as the Mayor and Commissioner for the City of Lauderhill. The Chapel of Four Chaplains has honored Ms. Feld with the prestigious Legion of Honor Award and The Veterans of Foreign Wars for her service to the community.
She and her husband, Rabbi Mitch Feld, are proud residents of Coral Springs, Florida.
